Do I need a doctor's referral before requesting care?
Many families believe they must wait for a doctor to recommend home care. For most private-pay home care services, this is not necessary. You are welcome to contact MyCG whenever you begin noticing changes in a loved one's safety, independence, health, or daily routine.
Early conversations often lead to better outcomes because they allow families to plan before a crisis develops. During your consultation, we learn about your situation, answer your questions, and recommend a personalized care plan if home care is appropriate.
Although a doctor's referral is usually not required, MyCG values collaboration. With the client's permission, we coordinate with physicians, therapists, hospital discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals so everyone works toward the same care goals.
