Can Family Members Share Payment Responsibilities?
Yes. Many families choose to share the financial responsibility for a loved one's care.
At MyCG Home Care, we understand that care is often a family commitment. Whenever practical and appropriate, we can work with families to establish billing and payment arrangements that reflect how they wish to share costs.
Our goal is to make financial coordination as simple and transparent as possible.

3. Common Family Payment Arrangements
Equal Contributions: several siblings each contribute an equal share of the monthly care costs. Percentage Contributions: each family member contributes a different percentage based on their individual circumstances. Primary and Secondary Contributors: one family member assumes primary responsibility while others contribute periodically. Legal Representative Arrangement: a person holding financial authority, such as a legal guardian, conservator, or attorney-in-fact, manages payments on behalf of the client using the appropriate legal authority. Family Trust or Estate Payments: where appropriate, payments may be coordinated through a trust, estate, or other legally authorized financial arrangement.
5. One Family Contact Helps Communication
Although several people may contribute financially, it is often helpful for families to identify one primary billing contact. This person can help coordinate:
Invoice review.
Payment questions.
Care plan discussions.
Communication with MyCG.
Having a primary point of contact helps ensure communication remains clear and organized while still allowing other authorized family members to stay informed where appropriate.
6. Privacy and Confidentiality
Protecting our clients' privacy remains one of our highest priorities. Billing information is shared only with:
The client (when appropriate).
Individuals authorized by the client.
Legally authorized representatives.
Other persons permitted under applicable privacy laws and the client's documented preferences.
We will never disclose financial or personal information to unauthorized individuals.
7. Can Payment Arrangements Change?
Yes. Families' financial circumstances sometimes change. Examples include:
A sibling begins contributing.
A family member retires.
A legal representative changes.
A trust begins managing payments.
Another funding source becomes available.
Whenever payment arrangements change, our administrative team will work with the family to update the billing records appropriately.
8. Future Family Payment Features
As CareOS continues to evolve, the MyCG Family Portal and Family App will support enhanced family financial collaboration. Future capabilities may include:
Multiple authorized billing contacts.
Shared invoice visibility.
Split payment tracking.
Individual payment history.
Secure online payments by multiple contributors.
Payment reminders.
Outstanding balance notifications.
Downloadable receipts.
Year-end payment summaries.
These features are intended to simplify financial coordination while maintaining appropriate privacy controls.

10. Common Misunderstandings
"Only one family member is allowed to pay." Not necessarily. Many families successfully share payment responsibilities.
"Everyone who pays automatically receives private information." No. Financial participation does not automatically grant access to confidential health information. Access is managed according to client authorization, applicable privacy laws, and MyCG policies.
"Changing who pays is complicated." Our team will help update billing arrangements whenever family circumstances change.
"Shared payments create confusion." With clear communication and proper coordination, shared payment arrangements can work very effectively.
