Who Supervises My Caregiver?
One concern many families have is: "If the caregiver is working in our home, who makes sure everything is going well?" It's an important question.
Home care is different from care provided in a hospital or nursing facility. The caregiver often works independently in the client's home. That independence makes strong supervision even more important.
At MyCG, caregivers are never left without support. Every caregiver is part of a larger care team that remains actively involved throughout the client's care journey.

1. The MyCG Care Team
While your caregiver may be the person you see most often, many professionals work behind the scenes to support both the caregiver and your family. This team may include Care Coordinators, Clinical Supervisors (where applicable), Quality Assurance personnel, Scheduling Coordinators, Administrative support, and Executive leadership.
Together, they help ensure care remains safe, consistent, and responsive.
2. The Role of the Care Coordinator
Your Care Coordinator serves as your primary point of contact. They help monitor your care plan, coordinate caregiver schedules, answer questions, respond to concerns, arrange reassessments, communicate with family members, and coordinate service changes.
Think of the Care Coordinator as the person overseeing the entire care journey.
3. Ongoing Care Supervision
Supervision does not happen only when services begin. Throughout your care journey, MyCG continues to monitor care plan implementation, visit documentation, family feedback, caregiver observations, changes in client needs, quality indicators, and schedule consistency.
Regular review helps us identify opportunities for improvement before problems develop.
4. How We Monitor Quality
Our supervision process includes multiple sources of information, including caregiver documentation, electronic visit verification, family feedback, Care Coordinator reviews, care plan updates, incident reports, follow-up conversations, and scheduled quality reviews.
Rather than relying on one source of information, we build a complete picture of how care is progressing.
5. Family Communication
Families remain an important part of the supervision process. We encourage you to share questions, concerns, suggestions, positive feedback, and changes in your loved one's condition.
Your observations help us continuously improve the care experience. We believe supervision works best when families and MyCG work together.
6. Supporting Caregivers
Supervision is not about looking for mistakes. It is about helping caregivers succeed. When caregivers need guidance, they receive coaching, additional training, clarification, problem-solving support, and professional development.
By supporting caregivers, we improve the care they provide.
7. What If Something Needs Attention?
If concerns arise, MyCG responds promptly. Depending on the situation, we may speak with the caregiver, review documentation, update the care plan, conduct additional supervision, provide additional training, or assign another caregiver if appropriate.
Every concern is taken seriously. Our goal is always to resolve issues respectfully, professionally, and quickly.
8. The Role of CareOS
CareOS strengthens caregiver supervision by providing real-time visibility into the care journey. Rather than relying solely on phone calls or paper records, supervisors can review visit completion, care documentation, electronic visit verification, care plan compliance, family feedback, incident reports, missed visits, and care trends.
This allows supervisors to identify concerns early and provide proactive support. Technology helps improve oversight—but relationships remain at the center of supervision.

10. Common Misunderstandings
"The caregiver works completely alone." No. Every caregiver is supported by an entire MyCG care team.
"Supervision only happens if there is a complaint." Ongoing supervision is a routine part of delivering high-quality care.
"Families should only contact MyCG when something goes wrong." We welcome both questions and positive feedback throughout the care journey.
"Supervision means the caregiver isn't trusted." Not at all. Professional supervision supports caregivers and helps maintain consistently high standards of care.
11. When Should You Contact MyCG?
Please contact us whenever you have a question, your loved one's needs change, you have a suggestion, you notice something concerning, or you would like to discuss your care plan.
Open communication helps us provide the best possible care.
12. Why Families Appreciate Our Supervision Model
Families often tell us they feel reassured knowing their caregiver is supported by an experienced team. Rather than depending on one individual, they know there are multiple professionals monitoring quality, reviewing care, and remaining available whenever questions arise. That team approach creates confidence. It also ensures that no caregiver—and no family—is ever expected to manage the care journey alone.
